We invite you to gather with us to honor and celebrate the life of Graye Muir-Lewis, a beloved artist, writer, and friend whose creativity and passion touched so many.
Date: Saturday afternoon, March 8, 2025
Location: Cornhusker Marriott Hotel (Garrat Room), Lincoln, NE
Graye was a fixture of the regional convention scene, known both for their artistry and insightful presence. A graduate of UNL’s Graphic Design program, they poured their talent into projects ranging from print comics (The Beauty Queens; Mystery Cult) to webcomics (Misericorda: The End of All Suffering; Eye-Eighty), and the long-running cult movie blog Outpost Zeta. Their work championed the weird and wonderful, always searching for meaning in the overlooked and the obscure.
Beyond their art, Graye was a dedicated advocate for inclusion and social justice, lending their voice and skills to the Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Gender and Sexual Identities at UNL. Whether through their creative works or their activism, they embodied a vision of a better, more inclusive, and weirder world.
This gathering is an opportunity for friends, family, and all whose lives were enriched by Graye to share memories, stories, and reflections. Please join us in celebrating a life lived with passion, curiosity, and an unwavering belief in the power of art and community. We look forward to remembering Graye together.
