Hello, Constellation! I'm thinking about you all in what's turning out to be another strange year, but I hope one where we can all start to uncurl and get our feet back under us. The weather is finally turning spring-like here in Colorado and I can't wait to get out and enjoy it!
Some things I've been watching/reading/enjoying that have been helping me get through things: I think I've binge-watched Star Wars:Rebels twice through this past year. And I'll probably do it again! I love that show so much, a found family with such relatable characters. It's great. I also binge watched "Black Sails," a mostly historically accurate TV show about the pirates of Nassau in the 18th century, that also turns out to be about storytelling and reputation? It's really violent but I loved it. I'm also currently watching "For All Mankind," an alternate history where the space race never ended and there's a moon base in the 1980's? It's so amazingly well done, so meticulous and impressive. Book wise: The Murderbot Diaries by Martha Wells is everything. Go read it now.
What I'm looking forward to? Going to the movies again (I haven't been in over a year) and having an in-person convention again, probably in the fall. Crossing my fingers!
Take care, everyone. Stay Safe, and we'll be together again soon.
Carrie
P.S. My next novel, QUESTLAND, is due out in June this summer! It's about a high-tech LARP that goes horribly, horribly wrong, and includes way too many references to Star Wars and Labyrinth. I'm looking forward to this as well!
